Privacy Policy

Hela Docs performs OCR and most PDF processing inside your browser. The system is designed so selected document files do not need to be uploaded to the website server.

Data stored by the server

Account names, email addresses, secure password hashes, language preferences, and small activity metadata such as tool name, status, and date may be stored. File names, documents, OCR text, generated files, and other large user-entered content are never stored in the server database. Generated downloads stay on your device.

Visitor count

To display visitor statistics, the system stores an anonymous session hash, visit date, page path, view count, and last-seen time. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the visitor table.

OCR libraries

The browser may download OCR engines, language data, and PDF libraries from public CDNs. Your document content is not included in those library requests.

Email and account security

Email is sent through the configured Google SMTP, hosting SMTP, or hosting mail service. Passwords are never stored as plain text. Add the website owner’s legal identity and contact information before public launch.
